Friedrich Froebel a German educator started an education program for preschool aged children in 1837 and called it “Kindergarten” – which means children’s garden.  The Froebel way of education focuses on, “Whole child learning”, covering all developmental areas socially, academically, emotionally, and spiritually. 
At the Mangrove Tree Academy Inc., the child will have access to materials called the Froebel Gifts which comprise of wooden solid blocks, rings and balls which can be used in teacher guided and child directed open ended play.  This will help the child in their creative thinking in design, movement, pattern making, mathematics and construction.
